Imagine the Hollywood actor whom you’d least expect to play The Incredible Hulk in The Avengers, and maybe, just maybe, you’d come up with the name of Mark Ruffalo. He’s always been an actor’s actor and is getting critical raves in Focus Features’ The Kids Are All Right which opened last weekend. But I’ve learned that he’s now in late-stage discussions between Marvel and his brand-new agency United Talent to play this key member of The Avengers ensemble [...]

Payet, a well-known funnyman on French small and big screens, recently starred in Elmaleh’s film “Coco.”

I ask you, do we really need more Holocaust dramas?
Bourne and all affiliates bore me.
Speaking as an asexual lady person, Sucker Punch looks awesome.
I think it’s supposed to be a documentary, technically. That’s the story they’re sticking with, anyway.
Thanks for the link. I hope you enjoy Inception, it’s certainly every bit as challenging as it claims to be – I’m still wrapping my head around it.
No problem! Our reviews have been posted.
Yep, I like the double-take thing you got going. I can see where both of you are coming from, but I’m more with Red on this one.
Can’t wait for Pegg/Frost in “Paul”. “Sucker Punch” will be great, no doubt (despite Vanessa Hudgens), for Zack Snyder is one helluva director. Alos, i’m thrilled to see Neveldine/Taylor behind the new “Ghost Rider”. The first film was “meh” more or less, this must surely be better.
Cheers for the link Castor, much appreciated
-You hate to see a movie doing major re-shoots this late into the process, but bringin in a couple Pixar writers certainly won’t hurt.
-The picture of the Gods from Thor looks bloody awful.
-I like the idea of Ruffalo as The Hulk. It should work.
-Ditto Lawrence for Mystique.
- I can’t stop watching the trailer for The Town. Even though it probably gives away too much, I’m really anticiipating this movie. Gone Baby Gone was amazing, and this trailer was very well done.
I’ve been waiting for The Town trailer for a while, glad it finally arrived! Looks great, and yeah, Gone Baby Gone was awesome.
I waited to see the trailer for The Town in theater and was not disappointed. Looks like a good one.
Mark Ruffalo? He’s like the most charming, well adjusted guy ever – and I’m not sure he can sell “anger issues”. And I love the guy. (Apparently he’d play me if there was ever a biopic of my life.)
I think he might have the same problem as Eric Bana did in Hulk: he seems pretty cool, and seems like the kinda guy you’d have a beer with. Whereas Norton (and some of the other rumoured candidates to replace Norton) feel more “shifty” and “strange”.
Thanks for the link!!!
The Tron Legacy article from EW caught my eye. About time Disney started tapping the Pixar team for writing and creative consultation. Pixar is such a valuable resource to the company and it took them about two decades to figure that one out. I’m hoping Tron Legacy turns out great now!
Reshoots for a film with this many special effects are common and I can’t see Brad Bird and Michael Arndt hurting the film.
Yep. That was the ultimate good news, bad news situation.
Bad News: We’re going back and reshooting bits of Tron. Start worrying.
Good News: We’re doing it with the guys from Pixar. Stop worrying.
Oh and sorry that I didn’t thank you for the mention earlier. Thanks Castor!
Okay, and we need a Tinkerbell film? Are these people for real?
• Not a huge fan of Reynolds but that dude certainly had a physique of a superhero!
• Ooohhh those pics from PAUL looks great, been anticipating that flick for a while, looks funny even from those stills, and the cast is just awesome!
• Is Neveldine/Taylor looking for something to top the atrocity of Gamer or what with Ghost Rider sequel??? Really, they don’t have to go too far!
• Banks as Tinkerbell is inspired casting, she is so pretty and bubbly like a fairy tale princess!
I have zero anticipation for Green Lantern but you never know…
Me neither, Castor. Neither one of the ‘Green’ superheroes doesn’t appeal to me much.
…another guy playing Hulk! Blimey! But then again I suppose Batman has had a few actors don the suit.
Am I the only one that kinda digs the Green Lantern suit?
I like it too. It looks enough like the comic suit to satisfy fans, while still being slightly modernized.
I am also with the digging. The eyes are the only part I’m not really sure on.
I can’t wait to see Thor throw his hammer at me and Cap throw his shield at me in 3d. That’ll be good.
I hope the Captain America movie is good but I have no hope for it. Thor so far looks awful.
I’m not sold on 3D, but I suppose superhero movies are the way to do it. And if you have to have 3D, probably best to have it in a desaturated war-movie-style environment like Captain America, rather than in the brighter settings where it might dampen the colour. At least they’ll likely be in 2D on home media.
I’m with you…Thor just seems off to me and everything looks unimpressive. To be fair, it’s just that one photo of Hopkins that looks goofy, but who knows, it could turn out awesome…I’m just not holding my breath.
I don’t know. I sorta like those photos. It seems like Branagh is going for a “Superman” chic. Which is nice and I’d rather he try it than almost any other director, to be honest.
I think I’m in the minority that thinks Thor will be awesome. Odd casting choices and uninspiring pictures? Yes. But I have hope for this film and I will withhold my suckage meter until after the trailer is released
I don’t know if I’m for or against a Tinkerbell but I think Elizabeth Banks is spot on. I think she’ll be better than Juila Roberts in Hook:P
Also, for as much as the film Exam looks like The Killing Room, I am so in. Looks awesome!
Indeed, happy to see her getting a star vehicle at long last. Not sure about McG being behind this though…
Well, I’m sure that I don’t like McG behind anything. I didn’t think there was a way to make me care even less about the Tinkerbell movie, but they found a way.
I haven’t really HATED HATED anything McG has done yet but I do think it’s weird they have HIM attached to the film
Is it sad that the three things that caught my eye in that ENTIRE ROUND UP was Chris Walken (my favorite actor) being in a new movie, Mark Ruffalo going from amazing dramady to Hulk and Ryan Reynolds looking ridiculous as Green Lantern. Maybe it will grow on me but I couldn’t help but laugh the first time I saw it.
