  1. Viggo and Amy in the same movie? Great have both of my biggest crushes in the same movie (Hey I’m willing to admit Viggo is awesome). That and any mention of Francis Ford Coppola is an automatic watch for me.

    And Jackass 3D…really? Really?

    • Castor says:

Agree TJ, love both Mortensen and Adams who are two excellent actors, looking forward to that long-awaited adaptation of Kerouac’s novel.

    • Heather says:

Seriously, Viggo, Amy in an adaptation by Coppola of a brilliant novel? My brain nearly imploded.

      • rtm says:

That is awesome casting indeed! I doubt people will confuse this with Viggo’s recent bleak drama The Road.

      • Ripley says:

Has anyone else read On the Road and gotten the feeling that it all probably sounded really philisophical when it was happening, but now that it’s on paper, it’s a bit silly and contrived?

Nonetheless, I love Old Bull and Jane, my favorite part of the book is when Sal is describing their relationship. I’m weird, okay?

  2. Joel Burman says:

Totally agree that one is surely on the must see list!

  3. Ross McG says:

    that Sly interview is great.

  4. Kaiderman says:

I spit on your grave looks good. I feel more movie rape coming on… EWWW! Still, looks like a fun horror film.
The Avengers teaser was weak. They put it out a year too soon. It feels like they were trying to do what Nolan did with the Dark Knight teaser but they haven’t filmed anything yet so all they really had was a logo. That sucks.
And what is wrong with this sentence: Warner Bros greenlights Justice League Movie without Superman or Batman. WTF???
That’s like Toy Story without Woody and Buzz… LAME!

  5. Red says:

    - Reitman and Cody teaming up again should definitely be one to keep an eye out for.

    - I was hoping that G.I. Joe wouldn’t get a sequel, but we can’t get everything we hope for.

    - ATM looks interesting. Geraghty was solid in Hurt Locker, and I have a weak spot for Margarita Levieva.

    - And greenlighting Justice League without the big two would be a disaster.

  6. Danny King says:

After reading “Labor Day,” I was really looking forward to Reitman’s adaptation, but this new project sounds promising nevertheless.

  7. Peter says:

Loved the Total Film article here – very true for the most part…funny list. and sad too.

This whole Joaquin thing is already wearisome to me. Though I detest the idea of Fincher doing an American version of Tattoo, Stellan is a wise choice to play the role. I still don’t wanna see it though!!!

  8. Ripley says:

Thanks for the linkage, my good sir(s).

I totally want to see First Class now. And always love Luc Besson.

  9. Ripley says:

But I don’t like the look of ISOYG remake. They’re making it so…grimy.

  10. Heather says:

Hooray for Sigourney and Bruce to team up. Obviously I’ll watch anything with her in it, but Brucie has been making solid choices in his flicks as of late, save Cop Out, so I’m there.

And Thanks for the huge plug! Seriously awesome. You guys rock my socks off!

    • rtm says:

That’s an awesome post, Heather, nice pic of choice, too :)

Love the Sigourney/Bruce combo, and having Henry Cavill there is a major bonus. It’s about time that guy gets more mainstream movies!

  11. Nicholas says:

Holy gods. Viggo Mortensen & Amy Adams in “On the Road.” That’s like….a miracle. A cinematic miracle. I have no idea if Coppola – or anyone else for that matter – could possibly make that book into a movie but I can’t wait to see him try.

  12. Jose says:

That Girl With the Dragon Tattoo remake keeps sounding better and better! Damn you David Fincher! I guess now it all lies in who plays Lisbeth.

    • Joel Burman says:

Since Noomi is such an international success in the original I think they should take a wild card and going with her for the american version aswell. Especially if they are gonna act with Swedish accents as the rumors say… Still waiting on a confirmation on that one tough!

  13. Fitz says:

Christensen should head everylist of actors who cannot act, regardless of category, sex or creed.

That Stallone ad would have been better had there not been so many long pauses.

  14. Jaccstev says:

The acting in the original “I Spit on your Grave” was terrible, but this seems like better acted and the girl seems a lot scarier, lets hope its better than the original.

  15. Dan says:

    …is Sigourney Weaver getting…younger!
