Cast: Woody Allen, Diane Keaton, Tony Roberts, Carol Kane, Christopher Walken
Cast: Robert Hays, Peter Graves, Julie Hagerty, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Lloyd Bridges
IMDb Summary: Neurotic New York comedian Alvy Singer falls in love with the ditsy Annie Hall.
IMDb Summary: An airplane crew takes ill. Surely the only person capable of landing the plane is an ex-pilot afraid to fly. But don't call him Shirley.
agreed, Vanessa! Have been rooting it on from the beginning! And most know how crazy I am about the film….I think I’ve been banned from writing about it anymore on my own site!
I am so surprised that Annie Hall has made it this far, though you know of course that I feel it fully deserves the honor. It’s a classic and she created one of the finest comedic characters ever. Hell, my first pug was named Annie Hall!!! GO ANNIE!!!
You are killing me! Putting Airplane up against Annie Hall? No fair! I went with Annie Hall because it’s become a part of pop culture. Even if you’ve never seen it you’ve heard of it. That’s hard to do. However, I remember seeing the clip of Airplane on The Tonight Show (with Johnny Carson) where the nun rips out the girl’s IV out with her guitar neck, I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!
I’m calling Holy Grail as the overall winner right now. As funny as each of these four films are, Grail simply contains more laughs overall. Maybe Airplane rivals Grail but if it comes down to those two, I still prefer Grail.

I’m finding it hard to care after the Big Lebowski was eliminated, but my votes are with Ghostbusters and Annie Hall.
Aw man, Monty Python against Ghostbusters? That’s tough, man. Ultimately went with the former.
Annie Hall vs. Airplane!…no contest there.
Went with Monty Python and Annie Hall
I’m really pulling for Annie Hall here.
me too!!! go Annie!!!
Airplane and Holy Grail, yo.
High five, Fletch! Not knocking Annie Hall, but this is a COMEDY tournament and Airplane delivers more laughs!
Airplane, Airplane, Airplane.
Am I the only person on this site who thinks that Allen is majorly overrated?
no, you are not.

btw, what film knocked off Lebowski??? I’m surprised that is out – thought for sure that was a finalist?
Monty Python pulled it out on overtime. Check the sidebar
yeah, just saw that. tough break. very surprised…
Annie Hall for the win. Woody must prevail!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy Grail has to win it all.
Nope… GBusters. We are just off lately! haha
Man, you must really like Tide!
This is depressing.

“Ghostbusters.” Please. The legacy of my childhood depends on it. No one in “Holy Grail” ever tried to drill a hole through their head.

Go Monty Python! Go!
In my mind Airplane is the funniest, but I’ll be happy with any other film than Annie Hall.
Annie Hall & Monty Python!!!
