CS selects Mila Kunis to start off the fourth round!
For this round I shall secure an actress with great performances in both Requiem for a Dream and Dark City. Welcome to Team Nicholas RObinson… Jennifer Connelly. (crowd goes wild)
Ahah, I was thisclose to select Connelly and use the exact photo at the top. She’s so stunning, but I think Charlize works better for my story.
She has such big… nevermind
Castor…do you pick for your self? you seemed to give your pick to everyone
I don’t even have a pick this round
But eventually, I hope to pick for myself ahah
Lol, I wonder what kind of movie will you make with so many given picks
Alright… because Clara was skipped last round, I think that means she’s automatically skipped this round, which means its my turn. If that’s the case, here’s my pick:
I need an everyman who could go from pushover to incredibly disturbed and disturbing in a short time span. There’s no one better at that than Kevin Bacon.
It is cold and rainy here in Dallas tonight, which mean nappy time for Clara. I fell asleep and missed 2 turns, but I am back now.
I pick lena headey. More on why later
Two actors from Firefly/Serenity, and now a woman who worked on a TV series with none other than Summer Glau. Speaking of Kevin Bacon, we totally have 6 degrees going on here.
Red selects Sam Rockwell.
Sam Rockwell?
See! This is why I wanted to call it a night! LOL
What’s wrong with Sam Rockwell?
I called him Sam Cromwell
Evidently, Castor got him mixed up with James Cromwell. In truth, there is nothing wrong with Sam Rockwell. He does indeed rock well.
My 4th round pick is Francis McDormand. She has just the right combination of Southern charm and meaness I need for my movie.
Will return to work know
I’ve sent you an email. From now on, all my picks are for small roles
I will probably not use my 7th to 10th pick.. anyone interested to take those picks ? be my guess
Edit: Hiroshi Abe
I have a rules question…
Do we need to pick three actors, three actresses, and a director in the first seven rounds? One of my next picks will be an actress, but my third one is pretty safe (I think), so I wasn’t planning on taking her until round 8. Is that okay, or do I need to take her in round 7 and hope that someone I really need holds out until the end?
3 and 3 in 10 rounds. As long as you have at least 3 actors and 3 actresses in your cast, you are set.
Mark Ruffalo, just because.
Great pick Andrew. He was part of my previous cast.
Gonna go with Anna Kendrick as my female lead. Liked her in Up in the Air and even her small part in Scott Pilgrim, kind of wanna see her in a bigger role. Think she could do well opposite of Franco.
I select Guy Pearce for Andrew Robinson as part of our earlier trade in which he sent me his 2nd round selection for my 3rd and 4th round pick.
Oooh, good one! We need to see Guy in more leading roles in real life.
Castor, what was that about people not going to be really participating in this round so leaving it 4 2mrw???
Ah but I never said that! I’m the one who needs a break
Tomorrow, we will have a few hours break between the fourth and fifth. This is literally consuming all my time lol
Might I suggest making the time window 15 minutes for the 2nd half of the picks, Castor?
It will stay 30 minutes until the 6th or 7th round. I’m not looking to speed things up.
Also, since there is a break btween picks here, wouldn’t this be a good time to update the tracker 4 Round 4 so far?
No. I needed some sleep
I just want to commend you for keeping track of everyone’s email and updating the post! You are a machine Castor!! Thanks for creating such a fun blog event, but yeah, do take breaks when you need ‘em man. Don’t die of exhaustion on us
Totally agree! Great work Castor!!!
Ahah thanks guys
I’m pretty sure Richard is over the time, so, if you don’t mind, I’ll just go ahead and make my pick.
For my 4th pick, I’ll take Rooney Mara. She hasn’t really starred in anything of the sci-fi, action, type before, and I think she has what it takes. I need a strong, passionate female lead to play off JoGo, and, if her stinging break up from The Social Network is any indication, then she has the chops.
My fourth actor is Thelma Ritter. She had made a career as a character actress and I intend to use that wisely. Her part isn’t very big, but it’s a good one.
Awesome choice! I love Thelma Ritter.
Castor, looks like we are back up and running, I will be away from my computer for a couple of hours, if my turn comes up you should still have my next two choices ready to go. Thanks
Sounds good Andy. I will wait a few minutes in case you are back.
I sent you an email, Castor!
I got it. It’s a great idea and I think we can make this happen! I’m going to be away for about 45 minutes. Stay out of trouble!
Sweet! Yeah, I thought of it last night and thought it would be an excellent way to wrap up the whole thing. Glad you’re gonna go with it!
I’ll try not to kill anyone while you’re gone.
What are you guys up to???
You’ll find out
.
I sent mine in, but I’m awake, so I’ll be able to post my pick myself. thanks, though
Wow this is going fast! Good morning to you guys I guess! I pick Jason Isaacs
It will be the second time I cast him in a draft and this time it will be a more stereotypical role as a political hit man.
No No No No No, he was my main villain I need a rethink now.
If you get me Amy Adams from Lacie I’ll give you Jason!
I’ll even throw in Jesse or Zooey in that trade…
You would have to pay be to take Zooey – I think I have an alternative choice to go for, unless Lecie wants to propose a trade??? My pick is up after yours if there is anyone you have to have.
Sorry the one I really wanted was Amy thats why I am being so agressive about her the rest are pawns compared to her in my film.
I hope Lacie let us know who she would consider to trade for.
I’m here and will be ready for my pick…right on time before I go to work too!
For Round 4 Team ScarletSp1der welcomes Ali Larter to the team. Initially the role was offered to Famke Janssen, but she sided with Team Marc. We wish her well. However Team ScarletSp1der is greatly excited about the future with Ali Larter as the seductive and fiesty counterpart in this film.
I will be at work until 8pm CST. But I will have email access, Castor. Things should be set pretty well with my email that you have. Thanks, and let me know if you need anything.
Thanks Sp1dey!
Castor I’m back so no need to post for me, just need to decide who to pick now Jason Isaacs has gone.
My fourth choice is Vera Farmiga. She’s blonde, icy and sexy. This is a Hitchcock movie, after all.
Vera Farmiga in a Hitchcock movie… good call. I can totally see that happening.
Mark Strong – The first rule in Hollywood, you need a British villain. As Jason Isaacs is busy playing a “political hit man” on a rival project I have gone to Hollywood’s current go to British Villain Mark Strong.

Movie Guy Steve: if you’re out there, you wanna trade Penelope Cruz for my fifth-round pick? It’s right after your own, so you’ll have the second and third picks.
gonna go with Naomi Watts. I need someone who could play an adult version of Elle.
Great pick Marya. I gave her some considerations
I debated between her and Laura Dern because I wanted someone Lynch has worked with before, but I though Naomi looks more like Elle.
*thought
Robert selects Noah Baumbach
Marc selects Luc Besson
oh I love Baumbach
That picture of Besson looks a little Robert Downey Jr.-y.
Love Besson. Marc officially has me interested no matter what the movie is about. Unless its a sequel to Arthur and the Invisibles.
The rounds should all move as fast as this one
said just as the round starts to slow down :/
lol
Has anyone taken David Fincher? I need him. He’s the kind of crazy I’m looking for
Someone took Fincher already
Yep, he’s taken.
I’d suggest someone, but I still haven’t selected a director yet, so…
I can think of a few directors who might step in for Fincher, but since I haven’t picked a director yet…I’m staying silent.
Stupid double post.
With my 4th round pick, I select Anne Hathaway. She has shown that she can play both dramatic and comedic roles. I am going to take her for a dramatic role. I am excited to see how she can add to my cast, and help shape my film. I think she has a lot of potential, and I want to uncover that.
Sorry for slowing things down folks.
Rosario Dawson
Teenage Jodie Foster. I think we knew she was gonna be a star when we first saw her in TAXI DRIVER and she hasn’t let us down since.

I need another actress who can pull off drama and still be a knock-out. I am selecting Maggie Gyllenhaal.

John Woo is my director.
So…Round 5?
Alejandro González Iñárritu. he can sew together anything and make it look beautiful
