117. Ripley | "I'll have Old Man Ken Watanabe from Inception. Explanations later"
118. Movie Guy Steve | "Who is that standing in the corner, crying to himself because he's fallen to the fifth round? Could that be Hugh Jackman? Don't worry, Hugh. I've got a part for you. In fact, I may end up giving you the romantic lead."
119. Rich | "My director is Billy Wilder circa 1950s. My favorite director, bar none, he can do it all."
120. John Parker | "Morgan Freeman and Eastwood are familiar with each other from Invictus, and when I think of older actors who could play the role I have in mind, there’s nobody better than The Narrator"
121. Rob Carraher | "I am going to select Aaron Johnson with this pick. He is becoming a young star. I want to use him as the seemingly nice young man that ends up mass murdering his girlfriend and her family. He feels right for this part. I'm glad I get the chance to cast him here."
122. Andrew R | Jennifer Lawrence
123. Candice | "Kerry Washington. If not as much in previous years, this year she’s proven to be a force to be reckoned with."
124. Marc | Freddie Rodriguez
125. Robert | Mark Webber
126. Marya | "I’d like DAME Helen Mirren as grandmother to Elle, mother to Naomi."
127. Andy | "Melissa George – A talented but underrated actress from Australia, she has mainly been utilised in supporting roles or leading roles in B horrors, with a background like this she will fit right in with my ensemble."
128. Lacie | Shia LaBeouf
129. Scarlett_Sp1der | "For Round 5 Team ScarletSp1der initially made the offer to Sean Connery to come out of retirement, but it looks like, once again, Team Marc paid him more. In his stead we welcome James Cromwell to play the role of the father figure with questionable motives and past. "
130. Joel | "Emily Deshanel
I’ll do a reverse tribute to the Deshanel sisters playing cousins in Bones. Emily will be Zooeys cousin an lawyer who tries to help Jesse out."
131. Ruth | "For round 5 I pick Emily Watson. I need a solid mature actress who’s smart and witty for the role of a novelist. She’s so under-appreciated despite churning out consistently good performances."
132. Amy W. | Skipped - Pick ASAP
133. Anna | "Actor #5 is Lee J. Cobb. I really loved his work in On the Waterfront and 12 Angry Men, but the part I have in mind for him is small but good."
134. Sebastian | "For my fifth pick, Olivia Wilde, if you please. She's proven that she can do that she can hold her own in a sci-fi action pic, and that she can do realistic stuff as well. Perfect for me. She'll make a good quasi antagonist."
135. Richard | "For my fifth pick I'm going for Laurie Holden. She's an underrated actress, mostly appearing in genre movies and TV, but I'm convinced that Hitchcock would fall for her in an instant if he were still around. "
136. Novroz | "For my 5th and my last pick, I choose Simon Pegg to accompany Edgar Wright as scriptwriter. The combination of those two in writing script is awesomely funny. He will also appear as Cameo.
I know we don't have to pick a scrpt writer but Simon Pegg is one packet with Wright ;) ... However, if anyone want to take him, I'll let him go and I will mention him in my pitch later. He might have a better spot in someone else's movie."
137. Castor | "After sitting in the green room for 3 days, Team Castor selected the sliding Leonardo DiCaprio with the 137th pick in the Hollywood Fantasy Draft. 138. Michael | Jenna Fischer
139. Andrew Kendall | "Laurence Fishburne is always being praised, and the man sure is talented...but he can play more than those tough, militants he's always given to embody. 140. Red | Marlon Brando
141. Travis | Michael Biehn

Whoo! This is the round I give my replacement for James Franco… and I think it’s a good one. Hopefully he doesn’t get taken. I need my lead actor!
I’ve got someone good picked out for Naomi’s mother/Elle’s grandmother. hopefully she doesn’t get picked either!
hey castor, i’m back
Cool!
I’ve got my pick ready, just waiting for my turn!
I think Ripley’s time is up.
Trying to usurp my place, are you? We’ll see…
Who is that standing in the corner, crying to himself because he’s fallen to the fifth round? Could that be Hugh Jackman? Don’t worry, Hugh. I’ve got a part for you. In fact, I may end up giving you the romantic lead.
And on an unrelated note…I finally got added to the LAMB. Woo! Go me!
Congrats! Steve thats awesome!
Okay, Castor I was already going to suggest some categories for us to judge the picks in the draft on….and even if you don’t use all you have to use BEST ACCOMPANYING EXPLANATION, I think Steve’s is going to be tough to beat. I’m still laughing.
Ahaha yea I love it!!
I would buy a ticket to your movie. Everyone knows how I feel about Hugh. I used him in the previous HOLLYWOOD FANTASY DRAFT.
My director is Billy Wilder circa 1950s. My favorite director, bar none, he can do it all.
GREAT choice.
Okay, judging by who you have so far, I am oh so looking forward to what your movie is about.
I could say the same thing about you
Excellent pick. If I weren’t going exclusively with living people, he’d have been one of my top choices. Wilder could do drama and comedy equally well, and I’d watch anything he had a hand in.
I’m beginning to get nervous as the later rounds start coming, and my people are still left…the pressure is building and I feel like my actor’s could now be taken at any minute.
Me too. And I am always at the bottom of the draft.
That’s how I feel about my director. Ten of us, including me, still need someone to helm the show, and I have someone specific I want. I’m starting to think I should have picked my director, but I don’t know who in my cast I would give up at this point.
So if you still need a director don’t pick mine!
My director is not as important as the next 2 actors. They are crucial to my movie. I already have to replace Monty Clift. If my round 5 actor is picked, I may need to rethink my whole movie.
Sorry! I didn’t know! I’d be willing to trade, but Mr. Clift is crucial to my movie as well.
I am trying to think of someone else like him or I might change my concept to use another classic actor.
That is the fun of this game…getting anxious about someone taking our actors
We can’t concentrate in our job anymore, always checking on AM … nice way to make people addicted Castor
Morgan Freeman
My original 5th round pick was going to be Morgan Freeman…I even selected the same picture.
haha…castor gets credit for the pic
Freeman and Eastwood are familiar with each other from Invictus, and when I think of older actors who could play the role I have in mind, there’s nobody better than The Narrator
also…thank you for not taking freeman…i needed to get him…not sure who could have played the part besides him
Heh. As it turns out, Freeman would be great for the next role I’m filling, but there are at least three others who can fill that role just as well or almost as well.
I am going to select Aaron Johnson with this pick. He is becoming a young star. I want to use him as the seemingly nice young man that ends up mass murdering his girlfriend and her family. He feels right for this part. I’m glad I get the chance to cast him here.
Oooh, intriguing.
Oooh I love this kid. So phenomenal in Nowhere Boy and then went 180 degree turn in Kick-Ass. That sweet face definitely seems capable of heinous stuff, he’s played one in Chatroom I think (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1319704/)
I am going to have to check out Chatroom. Seems interesting. I still haven’t seen Nowhere Boy either, but I have been excited about this for quite awhile now.
she’s got such promise.
I am somewhat surprised that she fell this far down.
Robert selects Mark Webber
I’d like DAME Helen Mirren as grandmother to Elle, mother to Naomi.

Good pick! Glad that this worked out for you. Looks like you have assembled a pretty good cast up to this point.
Love the dame. I picked her in my last draft as the female lead.
I’ve gotten all three ladies I wanted for my family in the film! got Michael Sheen as my outsider. Now I’ve gotta decide who I want to fill some supporting roles. I can’t believe Helen Mirren was free all the way into the 5th round!
Melissa George – A talented but underrated actress from Australia, she has mainly been utilised in supporting roles or leading roles in B horrors, with a background like this she will fit right in with my ensemble.

she was good in the remake of Amityville Horror
Anton Yelchin
Round 4
Shia Lebouf
Round 5
Uh oh…Castor is MIA.
He is probably getting some much needed rest.
Ahah, I was just about to say that. Or he’s getting coffee as he’s been losing sleep
Everything is once again updated!
Wow my pick is actually coming up. I might actually have to make a selection for myself lol
I am quite sure Scarlet Spidey won’t have the same pick as me. Its late here so I post now…
Emily Deshanel

I’ll do a reverse tribute to the Deshanel sisters playing cousins in Bones. Emily will be Zooeys cousin an lawyer who tries to help Jesse out.
You now know who to take Sp1der!
She isn’t crucial to my cast. I’d love to play the Deshanels against each other if I get the chance. They were so cute together on Bones! You need to check out that episode if you haven’t seen it!
Since I’m after Joel, can I pick now?
Getting anxious are we… =)
oh noes! I’m #20 for the next round. nobody take my secretive pick!
For Round 5 Team ScarletSp1der initially made the offer to Sean Connery to come out of retirement, but it looks like, once again, Team Marc paid him more. In his stead we welcome James Cromwell to play the role of the father figure with questionable motives and past.
I don’t blame Marc for not wanting to give him up. I mean, it’s Sean Connery!
Ok, for round 5 I pick Emily Watson
I need a solid mature actress who’s smart and witty for the role of a novelist. She’s so under-appreciated despite churning out consistently good performances.
Oh I’ve appreciated her for many years. Great choice!
Ripley selects Ken Wanatabe.
Awesome pick. I love Ken Watanabe!
I love Ken!! I was thinking about casting him but since I only need him for small role, I rethink it again and picked a not so famous Japanese (not famous in the world but very famous in Japan)
Actor #5 is Lee J. Cobb. I really loved his work in On the Waterfront and 12 Angry Men, but the part I have in mind for him is small but good.
Ah, Lee J. Cobb is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Ever seen him in the TV version of Death of a Salesman?)
For my fifth pick, Olivia Wilde, if you please. She’s proven that she can do that she can hold her own in a sci-fi action pic, and that she can do realistic stuff as well. Perfect for me. She’ll make a good quasi antagonist.
For my 5th and my last pick, I choose Simon Pegg to accompany Edgar Wright as scriptwriter. The combination of those two in writing script is awesomely funny. He will also appear as Cameo.
>>I know we don’t have to pick a scrpt writer but Simon Pegg is one packet with Wright
…. however, if anyone want to take him, I’ll let him go and I will mention him in my pitch later. He might have better spot in someone else’s movie.
Castor, I have picked 3 actors and Pegg is not going to be an actor in my movie…I hope it’s okay to pick him. I have no interest with female for my pitch
And this my introduction for Abe-san (my 4th pick)
Hiroshi Abe is a funny man with serious face. I love the way he makes me laugh without changing his face expression. He is the perfect cast for a disaster-maker.
Jeez… I just finished watching the entirety of Seven Samurai, and it’s STILL not my turn. And that’s a LONG movie.
Heh. I’m in the middle of Hotel Terminus. My guess i’ll be done with it before my next pick.
I don’t think Castor knows what to do with himself now that he has to make a pick for himself.
Ahaha and you are exactly right… Ok I’m making my pick
Breaking news – After sitting in the green room for 3 days, Team Castor selected the sliding Leonardo DiCaprio with the 137th pick in the Hollywood Fantasy Draft. After being asked by a reporter about why so many team passed up on him, DiCaprio savagely attacked him before being restrained by Castor. He was then heard yelling “All these people passing on me will regret it until their last breath!”
how very Norman Maine of him.
Leo, we passed on you because you were turgid in Inception….just saying. Maybe you need a rest.
I liked him in Inception. I just didn’t really have a role for him.
I liked him in Inception, too. Though I liked him *more* in Shutter Island
I loved him in Shutter Island too, so I really can’t account for why he was so flat in Inception….well actually I can, but I don’t want to be mauled – so I shall keep mum.
Psh. Pah-leez!!! My lead guy constantly upstaged him in INCEPTION, and could kick his ass any day of the week.
no debate there, JGL and Tom Hardy upstaged everyone in that. Well, aside from Marion.
Leo upstaged everyone… except for Tom Hardy and JGL… and Ken Watanabe and Ellen Page, and Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy and Dileep Rao and Michael Caine. Except for those people, everyone!!!
Michael selects Jenna Fischer
Andrew’s time is up…
Laurence Fishburne is always being praised, and the man sure is talented…but he can play more than those tough, militants he’s always given to embody. It’s time for his name to stop being synonymous with Ike Turner and Morpheus. He won’t be the lead of my project, but he has a nice emotional arc opposite The Bening.
Red selects Marlon Brando
Travis picks Michael Biehn
yay! Brando! is gonna be in brown-face a la Viva Zapata?!
*is he
I wasn’t originally going to go with actors who had died, but after somebody else chose James Franco, I had to scramble. I need someone who can play an authority figure. But I also need someone who can show us the fine balance between dedication and obsession, someone who can emote the possible slip from sanity and all that is logical while also grasping on to reality. Over his short years, Heath Ledger magnificently showed us all of these qualities in his roles.
For my 5th pick of this fun draft, I pick an actress who has proven her chops i Across the Universe and the last season of True Blood. Reuniting with Darren Aronofsky will be… Evan Rachel Wood!
Yay, Round 5 is done! Moving on to Round 6?!
Indeed
http://www.anomalousmaterial.com/movies/2010/12/the-hollywood-fantasy-draft-ii-round-6/
I hope. I’d love to get through this round and the start of the next. The next two picks are my last really important ones to me.
This is going really fast. I only have 2 more parts to cast. They are small, but very important roles.
