First let me say, that 3rd Battle: LA trailer gives me goosebumps!

Great collection of news Castor! Last week was definitely fun for a bunch of fanboys/girls with the release of Capt. America & Spidey pics. On the casting front, hmmm Brendan Fraser and Kristen Scott Thomas in a British drama? Well I guess his career isn’t over yet after Furry Vengeance? Colin Firth is in talks as well? Wow, sign me up!

  3. Ripley says:

God, am I the only one who wants to punch happythankyoumoreplease in the smug indie face?

  4. A film directed by Jennifer Love Hewitt. Oh boy, that’s going to be bad since she hardly has any talent. Wait, she has no talent.

And no, you’re not the only one who isn’t fond of “Happythankyoumoreplease”. I wanted to throw up after watching the trailer.

  5. Andrew says:

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s movie has a porno title. Just saying.

Happythankyoumoreplease looks like a huge pile of sickeningly overwrought hippie claptrap. The only comedy talent in it who’s worth getting excited over is Tony Hale (not to minimize how awesome Tony Hale is), and it’s written, directed, and lead by the protagonist of How I Met Your Mother. Pass.

Seeing Garfield as Spidey is exciting stuff, and the design of the costume and the mood of the photo have me interested. My excitement in Captain America has spiked less but only because I was never not totally interested in that movie in the first place.

Battle of Los Angeles is going to be a wild card– either a shameless Independence Day/District 9 wannabe or its own entry in the genre. I’m hoping for the latter. Like RTM that trailer really worked for me.

  6. Wow! Rooney Mara looks like a great edition of Lisbeth! Quite the change from her appearance opposite Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network! I am curious as to how Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is going to come out. I think it has been way overrated lately.

Thanks for the mention of the RED WEB AWARDS! And thanks for your participation as a judge on the nomination panel!

Be sure everyone to visit and vote for the winners of my own special version of the Golden Globe Awards! Thanks! :)

  7. Julio Ibanez says:

I had read somewhere on EW that Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” is actually a spinoff script based on an idea developed for the Alien prequel (?!?!?). And that the official Alien prequel is now dead…or at least stalled

    • Castor says:

You are right. The Alien prequel just been canceled. From what I hear, Prometheus will still use most if not all of the ideas that they worked for the Alien prequel. It simply won’t be part of the franchise.
