Improved Theatrical Trailer for “Green Lantern”
Warner Bros has released a 3D theatrical trailer for Green Lantern (via Yahoo) and I must say it’s a large improvement over anything we have seen up until now. Obviously, you won’t be able to see it on 3-D on your computer screen but it is supposed to play in front of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides this weekend. Solemnly narrated by Tomar Re (Geoffrey Rush), this trailer feels a lot more epic and features quite a lot of new footage.
One of the main concern with the movie is that most people aren’t very familiar with the 2nd tier DC Comics’ superhero so it’s good to see the background of Green Lantern being addressed in this trailer.
Starring Ryan Reynolds, and directed by Martin Campbell, Green Lantern will be brought to theaters in 3D on June 17th.
Check out the trailer for yourself below and let us know what you think!

Looks a bit better though I’m not sure if I want to see it.
Comic book adaptations aren’t really my thing (except for Kick-Ass), so I can’t really input on this other than it looks predictable, but still entertaining.
Still looks like a cartoon too me, hopefully the actual film is better than these trailers. I didn’t think I was gonna like Thor after the awful trailers but I quite enjoyed that movie. Let’s hope Green Lantern turns out good than these trailers. I mean it can’t be that bad since it was directed by Martin Campbell, the man who rebooted the Bond franchise twice!
I do agree this is a big improvement from the earlier trailers (we finally get som backstory and see the villain/henchman) but I’m afraid much of the crappy footage/scenes from the earlier trailers are still in the film.
I doubt I’ll see this in theaters.
Originally had no desire to see this film (at all) and the original trailer did not improve that opinion.
The latest trailer at least pulls you in a little bit more, but I am not sure I am still convinced. I think I am overfull with comic book adaptations that I am starting to withdraw from them.
Christ, is this movie the little engine that could, or what? It’s like every new thing about it is 5% better, and we’re all really pulling for it to be good (not really). It’s Mikey in Swingers. It’s got these claws, and the moviegoing public is like these little bunnies…
Or it just still sucks.
