  1. Dan Heaton says:

    I’m in. This sounds awesome.

  2. Joel Burman says:

I’m of course in as usual!

  3. rtm says:

Bummer, I will be away for Thanksgiving weekend but you know I’d love to participate. Is it ok if my part will be a bit late? Unless I could somehow pick the cast ahead of time. I’ll make sure not to draft trouble makers like Lindsay Lohan, ahah. Yeah, as if!

  4. Joel Burman says:

Great scoring system by the way! I’d be surprised if this isn’t bumping up the amount of pitches.

  5. Nicholas says:

This sounds really good. And especially since I don’t have to worry abt writing a pitch (I have exams in a few wks) then it’ll be done in one weekend! I’m In

  6. I’m not sure if i will participate this time around. Mainly because i always seem to end up putting too much into my pitches, and i need to write a script for a short film i want to do…so its a maybe for me right now

  7. Red says:

    “PR Catastrophe: Commissioner’s discretion”

    Castor = Roger Goodell :)

    I’m in, of course.

  8. Scott says:

Castor, I would love to be involved with this if possible.

    Thanks so much in advance

  9. Scott says:

Hold on what time is 2pm CT in the UK?

  10. Squasher88 says:

Please sign my up! Are there prizes?

  11. It sounds oh, so simple, but I have a feeling that it’s going to bloody hard to choose the right people! Count me in…if the draft/picks are taking place over a few hours (i.e. not instantly or within an hour or two) as I usually work 12 till 12 on Saturday’s depending on how busy my place of work is!

  12. Joel Burman says:

To all the people who aren’t writing pitches. Why don’t you you do more realistic pitches that are shorter and more to the point or even better an audio pitch? Thats how most pitches for production are made anyhow..

  13. Joey Miller says:

I’ve been wanting to do something like this for ages. I’m in.

  14. Brendan Burke says:

Sign me up. How about a bonus if one of my actors loses a cell pone with naked photos on it.

  15. Fogs says:

Cool, Cap. Thanks for signing me up. I presume by then my life will be back to normal.

  16. Brian says:

    Count me in. Can’t wait!

  17. you know I’m in Mr. Nick Cage man

  18. rtm says:

Would you be sending an email or post a reminder a couple of weeks before this start, Cas? I just hope I have time to get my cast put together. Thanks man!

  19. Red says:

How are we gong to handle actor-directors? Like Ben Affleck. He is directing Argo, and starring in it as well (along with the Malick film). Would I be able to select him as one of my actors and still get director points?

    • Joel Burman says:

Good question if choosing him to act in your film he should only get points for acting gigs but if he doubles you should get director points too. At least thats how I see it.

  20. Novroz says:

*waving my hand* I am in!!! got the story already :)

we are doing the old way with no bargain right? just want to make sure. I am too stupid to do the last fantasy draft.

  21. fyi, working in the major electronics retailer that I do, the black friday weekend will be exasperatingly full of work. I will, however, do my best to be on time with my picks.

  22. iluvcinema says:

I’ll give it the old college try!

  23. Matt S. says:

SWEET this sounds fun! I am in!

  24. Dan Heaton says:

Hey Castor. Can you offer a few more details on “the pitch” since I’m new? I don’t totally understand how everything works on that part of it.

  25. Rich says:

Do re-releases of older movies count differently, points-wise?

  26. Max says:

I’d like to join the contest as well Castor if you still have room.

  27. Liam Collins says:

Best idea ever. I WANT IN.
