Don’t Watch: Excrutiatingly Bad Trailer for ‘The Three Stooges’

Fox has released the first trailer for the Farrelly Brothers’ passion project, The Three Stooges and it looks stupefyingly atrocious. Will Sasso, Sean Hayes, and Chris Diamantopoulos star as Curly, Moe, and Larry in what looks to be a series of the basest slapstick jokes ever known to mankind. Oh and Snooki has a cameo. Enough said, watch at your own peril.

The cast also includes Jane Lynch, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Hudson, and Larry David. The Three Stooges hits theaters on April 4, 2012. Check out the trailer below or click over to Apple to see it in HD.

Left on a nun’s doorstep, Larry, Curly and Moe grow up finger-poking, nyuk-nyuking and woo-woo-wooing their way to uncharted levels of knuckleheaded misadventure. Out to save their childhood home, only The Three Stooges could become embroiled in an oddball murder plot… while also stumbling into starring in a phenomenally successful TV reality show.

  1. horrible. absolutely horrible. I mean, what was that??

  2. ruth says:

Well all right then, I won’t watch it… not the trailer, not the movie :)

  3. Dan O. says:

What are you guys talking about!!?!? This is amazing…..

  4. Anna says:

    Don´t watch = Watch immediately.

    Funny? I think not.

  5. The mention of Snooki is more than enough for me to not watch this. I would think the Farrelly Brothers have reached the bottom of the barrel with The Heartbreak Kid. Hearing about this is now likely that they will top that in terms of awfulness. Thank you for the warning.

    • Castor says:

Ahaha The Heartbreak Kid would be Oscar material next to this.

      • It still pisses me off that they had a movie called The Heartbreak Kid yet it didn’t feature the actual Heartbreak Kid. The Icon, the Showstopper, the Main Event, Mr. Wrestlemania himself, Shawn Michaels.

Instead, some other guy with the same name was in it and it wasn’t HBK!!!

  6. Nick Prigge says:

Oh my. With each passing day the more confused I become about who’s in charge of the “greenlight button” in Hollywood.

  7. excruciating. i knew this kind of humor couldn’t land in 2011

  8. Seveos says:

There are no words to describe how painful this is.

  9. Green Machine says:

I’m not gonna lie. I didn’t find this that bad… I mean what do you expect from a Three Stooges movie in 2012?

  10. Fogs says:

I’m no worse off than before seeing it.

If anything, it looked better than the horror show I had had in mind. The true horror here is that they would MAKE a three stooges movie with three actors mimicking the CLASSIC comedy team.

  11. John says:

I think the headline is reverse psychology because after reading it, I felt like I had to watch it to see if it was as bad as I expected.

How on earth did Larry David get roped into that? I hope he has a small role.

  12. Jack Deth says:

    Wow!

Did that stink on ice, or what?!!!

I really enjoyed the Mel Gibson produced TV bio-pic, ‘The Three Stooges’ from 2000.
Michael Chiklis made an excellent, believable Curly. Will Sasso should be drawn and quartered!

  13. Neon Bodeaux says:

Do I think his movie is gonna be any good? Absolutely Not!

However Chris Diamantopoulos does a very good Moe.

And if you are reading this and have yet to watch the trailer I suggest you watch it. For the very least watch the trailer to see Kate Upton as Sister Berenice…DAMN.

  14. Julio Ibanez says:

And to think, Sean Penn and Jim Carrey were once attached (separately or at the same time?)…

    no, thank you! :)

  15. Scott says:

HAHA I watched this last night with the missus and we both thought it was awful. What were they thinking?

  16. Joel Burman says:

You weren’t kidding with the don’t watch. I actually would have preferred Jim Carrey in this.

  17. MarkusWelby1 says:

too late. On a positive note, that guy actually does look and sound just like Moe.

  18. iluvcinema says:

There were laughs to be sure but not for the reasons the Farrelly Brother intended.

  19. Andrew says:

Sure, it looks bad, but it also looks like The Three Stooges. Everything on display here is pretty much par for the course, though I have a slight appreciation for Snooki getting poked in the eyes.

  20. Rodrigo says:

I really loved the tv show But seriously, fuck the Farrelly brothers.

I think the 3 Stooges film would have fared a lot better without the Farrelly brothers being involved.

I’ll admit that the guy playing Moe could make things work. But the rest… :(

  21. Why is it, when we’re told NOT to do something, we, well, do it! This looks bad, ‘Uwe Boll on crack but it’s still not funny nor watchable’ bad. Yet the Farrelly brothers have so much talent…

  22. The only way I’ll see this movie is if you do a post telling me not to watch it!… Oh wait…
