Must Watch: Fun Trailer for ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’
Wow the first trailer for Jon Chu’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been released and it actually looks kind of awesome?! Most of the original cast is gone and for a good reason, the trailer starts with the G.I. Joe team getting slaughtered except for a few survivors that include Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, and Bruce Willis.
From this first look, this cast is a huge improvement and the trailer promises an action-packed movie with some really cool stunts. This definitely has a much cooler vibe than the previous installment, thanks in part to the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” being used in the preview to great effect.

I wasn’t a fan of the first one but I have to say, this looks awesome. The Rock rocks!
Yep, I’m surprised by the tone of this one. It looks a lot more badass while the first one was really kiddie oriented it seemed.

Maybe he dies early on, I didn’t see him after the first few seconds
Hmm, I’ll probably wait and see if it gets some good reviews then I might go see it. The last one was just awful.
Yea, the first one was absolutely terrible. I still remember the super cheesy flashback with Sienna Miller.
The first one was a big guilty pleasure for me but I have to say that this looks awesome and sort of like the film that I want to see.
It kinds of reminds me of Fast Five mixed in with The A-Team lol

How do you improve on the first film (which I didn’t like)? Add the Rock and more ninjas. Correction– more ninjas, fighting on a cliff.

Oh, man. I don’t know, dude. Not sure how I feel about The White Stripes in a GI Joe trailer and washed-up Bruce Willis doing more washed-up shit. Was hoping to get knocked on my ass like with the Ghost Rider 2 trailer, but staying hopeful all the same.
Ghost Rider 2 better be good! I still need wash out the bad taste from the first one.
Well if you think seeing Channing Tatum doing what he does best is FUN, then yeah I suppose. I only saw this trailer as my hubby said, you’re gonna get a kick out of the last few seconds of this. Yiippiikayeee MF!

I watched the first one this year for the love of JGL and boy was it bad. But in a watchable sorta way. This one looks like a heck of a lot more fun. How can it be anything else with The Rock!?

If Ghost Protocol revives Mission Impossible and this brings credibility to the GI Joe series, I’ll have to concede to the Mayans and conclude that the world will most definitely end in 2012.
