Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig And Christopher Walken Think ‘Freezing People is Easy’
A great cast is starting to shape up for Errol Morris’ adaptation of Bob Nelson’s memoir “We Froze The First Man”, titled Freezing People is Easy. The comedy, which will also draw from a story by This American Life (one of the best podcast out there by the way) already has Paul Rudd attached since last July but now, Deadline reports that Owen Wilson and Christopher Walken are locked in to co-star, with Kristen Wiig considering a role in the film.
The script, written by Zach Helm (Stranger Than Fiction), will be inspired from Nelson’s story as a Los Angeles TV repairman obsessed with cryogenic preservation of humans in the 1960′s. He quickly discovers that it isn’t as easy as it looks when mistakes are made that result in him having to face the family of the deceased with some bad news.
Again, Wiig hasn’t officially signed up for the movie. Thanks in great part to the success of Bridesmaids, she is contemplating multiple role offers and also has her SNL commitments to account for. Nonetheless, this certainly sounds like an interesting concept for a comedy and given the talent involved, this is worth keeping an eye on. Production is set to start in the middle of 2012.

Kristen Wig is hilarious
Glad she finally got her break, acting-wise.
This is the first I’ve heard of this. I love the idea (although, I guess, since it’s based on actual events, it less an idea than an actuality). I’m definitely gonna check out the This American Life episode.
Definitely do
This American Life is always a good time.
i like the cast, but the plot isn’t calling me…
Ahaha I’m sure they will release a more exciting synopsis that does a better job than my little blurb
