First Official Image Of Daniel Craig In ‘Skyfall’

After the somewhat disappointing Quantum of Solace, it’s interesting to note that the amount of anticipation for the next James Bond movie, Skyfall, is already so high. But one only has to look at the fantastic cast to feel giddy about the 23rd installment of the venerable Bond franchise. Not only are Daniel Craig and Judi Dench returning to their respective roles, but director Sam Mendes assembled a superb supporting team that includes Ben Whishaw, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Ben Chaplin, Judi Dench, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCroy, Albert Finney, and Ralph Fiennes.

Now, the film’s official Facebook page has released the first “official” picture from the film (I guess the one with Craig sitting by the pool in his speedo wasn’t it). The still features an unshaven Bond holding a gun while standing in some fancy room full of neon lights.

In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
