Three New Images from ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’
Rupert Sanders’ directorial debut Snow White and the Huntsman continues to look promising as Universal released three more stills to promote the film as a darker, grittier adaptation of the fairy tale. We are cautiously optimistic that Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and most particularly Charlize Theron will be able to make this a lot more badass and grown-up than you would expect from a traditional Snow White movie.
Adding more intrigue is the fact that the script was co-written by Evan Daugherty and Hossein Amini, who is behind the screenplay for Drive as well as a superb supporting cast that includes Nick Frost, Sam Claflin, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Lily Cole, and Bob Hoskins. In any case, below are three new stills, just released on the film’s Facebook page.
Snow White and the Huntsman will hit theaters on June 1.
In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.
The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

I bow to queen Charlize
And that Sam Claflin dude is pretty cute, reminds me a bit of Henry Cavill. Kristen once again has that same panic expression on her face.
Ahaha but that’s her normal face expression Ruth!
I must say, if the studio is trying to make Kirsten look like a legit lead since that is one thing the trailer didn’t really do these pics aren’t helping with that.
I personally find her to be a decent actress, but considering how little screentime she had in the trailer i wonder if the studio is worried about her casting
Charlize looked great! And agree with Ruth on Kristen.
Am i the only one who thinks they are over-promoting this one? I mean, most people were on board when they saw the trailer, so i have to wonder what the reason for all the image releases are
Maybe, the movie is still like five months away so it’s certainly a bit more marketing than expected at this point.
Charlize Theron in badass queen look. I bow down to thee!!!
I love that crown! They should have cast her as Cersei Lannister.
