Must Watch: Fantastic Full Trailer for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’

Universal has debuted the second full-length trailer for Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman and it looks as dark, epic and visually striking as we all hoped for. In this adaptation of the classic fairy tale, Kristen Stewart stars as Snow White, the young woman destined to become the fairest maiden in the land. Threatened by that fact, the Evil Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) sets out to destroy her but she is unaware that Snow White is training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who was originally dispatched to kill her.

The trailer premiered at WonderCon this past weekend and continues to build on the impressive visuals we saw in the teaser trailer that came out four months ago. We get many glimpses of the large scale battle scenes and visually gorgeous backdrops used in the movie. You also don’t want to miss seeing the dark forest and the ominous creatures populating it. Frankly, this really looks badass and I can’t wait to check this out in theater.

Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think! Snow White and the Huntsman lands in theater on June 1st.

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her.  But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her.  Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

I want an Evil Queen Ravenna poster. This looks very good. I am looking forward to this a lot.

There hasn’t been a movie that I have looked forward to seeing in the theater in ages until this and Les Mis. I honestly cannot wait.

  3. And Kristen is finally allowed to say something ;)

That actually looks pretty good, not sure if I’ll spend my money seeing it on the big screen though. Probably a rental.

  5. Wow… this looks really good. Once again, it’s Charlize Theron as the evil queen that will probably get me to see this. I love her in this part!

Okay, fine. This has me a bit turned around on the film. For one, it looks really nice; it’s clear that the majority of the projected studio budget went into making the CGI effects and creatures as well-rendered as possible. For another, it’s nice to be introduced to the Dwarves and the Huntsman a bit more, particularly when the speaking Dwarf is one Bob Hoskins. There’s a moody atmosphere here that feels pretty genuine, rather than manufactured.

The big bone of contention for me is Stewart, but if the rest of the film is good enough, then she may not matter. Particularly with Charlize Gothing it up.

Yea, no doubt it’s going to be fantastic from a visual standpoint. K-Stew is a big question mark but as I said from the start, she seems to be second fiddle to the Evil Queen and all she has to do is to be semi-competent.

This one looks SO much better than Tarsem Singh’s version. Looks pretty damn good visually, actually. The CGI effects and art direction are great. I’ll be interested in seeing this at some point…maybe….when it hits DVD/BD.

If only it didn’t have Kristen Stewart in it, I’d be much more interested in checking it out. Any chance they can replace her before it releases? lol Seriously, though, the fact that she barely speaks worries me even more about her involvement with this. It’s as if the studio is trying to hide her acting cause they know how annoying she is.

Cool! I like the trailer and also the extended preview which I’m posting in a bit. I’m really looking forward to this, yes despite Kristen.

Looks pretty great. Quite excited – Snow White is a really twisted story at its core, so it’d be good to see a suitably edgier perspective put on it.
