Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone May Reunite in Comedy ‘Focus’
After directing the delightful duo that is Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in last year’s Crazy, Stupid, Love, directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are looking to get the two back together for their new comedic project, Focus. The film would tell the story of a veteran conman (Gosling) who becomes romantically involved with a young up-and-comer (Stone) and how their relationship comes back to torture them when they meet up once again years later.
Since the project is still in an early stage of development, Deadline reports that the two actors have yet to be officially approached for the roles. Nonetheless, Ficarra and Requa have expressed their strong desire to reunite with their stars and we can see why. Gosling and Stone are two of the most exciting and charming young actors in Hollywood and I would be more than happy to watch them read the phone book for an hour and a half.
The question is whether the two will be available given their understandably busy schedules. Gosling has recently wrapped Only God Forgives with Drive director Nicholas Winding Refn and the two are looking to collaborate once again in Logan’s Run. The actor is also set to appear in two Terrence Malick films later this year. Meanwhile, Stone will star this summer in The Amazing Spider-Man and later this year alongside Gosling in the period crime drama The Gangster Squad.

i didn’t like the two of them together i crazy, stupid love so i am not excited about this news
I don’t think they had much to do in the movie and certainly I like the actors a lot more than I liked their pairing in the movie.
I’m with you on the reading the phone book thing. Perhaps we could co-invest in that? I bet we’re not the only ones that would pay to see that. We could be rich. Think about it awhile… please.
Yea we don’t even need to pay a writer to write a script or any crew to shoot the movie, this could literally be done almost at no cost!!! We are going to be rich
I don’t know. I haven’t seen Crazy, Stupid, Love but I do like Emma Stone and really, really like Ryan Gosling. If it turns out to be promising, I’ll probably go see it.
Interesting films coming up soon! I really liked the two in Crazy Stupid Love. It is in fact the most read review on my blog lately.
I am getting something like a kick for Stone lately so seing more of her will be more than appreciated!
Also, didn’t knew for the collaboration on the Logan’s Run project!
