Watch: New Three-Minute Trailer for ‘Prometheus’ Will Get Your Ass in the Seat
Forget about The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises or The Bourne Legacy. Fox has released a new three-minute trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and it will have you pining for this movie more than anything else. This preview is nothing short of awe-inspiring and features tons of previously unseen footage that will give you a much better sense of what the story will be about.
We also get a better idea of Charlize Theron’s character, Meredith Vickers and her head honcho role in the movie. In any case, I must say I have been very impressed by Fox’s marketing campaign for this movie. Not only is the viral campaign incredibly creative and original but the excellent trailers have been building up momentum for the film as we approach the release date.

Great trailer but I don’t see the need for another trailer. This one shows too much now…
I kind of agree Mac but it’s still a great trailer and it will sell well to the mainstream audience who isn’t as aware of this movie as we are.

I wonder how much say Scott has in this marketing. Either he is the one saying what can be shown in trailers or he is very pissed off right now
My ass is already in the seat for Prometheus– it’s there, in the theater, in the future, waiting for the rest of my body to catch up to it– so I think I’m going to skip out on this trailer. Yep. I’m gonna be that guy.
Ahaha good on you Andrew. This one does reveal a bit too much for my taste.
I do miss seeing those little face huggers, nice to see them back on the big screen. I’m still holding back my excitement for this film since Sir Ridley Scott hasn’t done a good film in a while, let’s hope he breaks that trend with this one.

This premiered during the advert break of Homeland on Sunday night in the UK. I wasn’t expecting it so the sudden excitement was quite a shock! Lol!

I too have been very impressed by all this marketing but now I want to see no more. This trailer is amazing but I’m scared to even watch it again. It seems to reveal more than I’d have liked!
