Gemma Arterton Joins Ben Affleck & Justin Timberlake in Gambling Drama ‘Runner Runner’
Actress Gemma Arterton will co-star in the gambling drama Runner Runner, alongside Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake. The film centers on a Princeton student (Timberlake) who ends up losing his tuition money playing online poker and ends up at the mercy of the site’s corrupt boss (Affleck).
Variety reports that Arterton will take on the role of Timberlake’s love interest although no more details are given. Timberlake has proven his acting chop in movies like The Social Network and Friends with Benefits so it will be interesting to see what comes out of this premise. Production is set to begin next month in Puerto Rico with Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) at the helm.
As for Arterton, she hasn’t been seen on the big screen for a couple years but she will be back next year with Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters alongside Jeremy Renner as well as the vampire pic Byzantium which also stars Saoirse Ronan.

I’ve only seen Gemma in two movies and I think she’s just ok. I much prefer Emily Blunt and Haley Atwell as far as English brunettes go, they’re far more memorable.
The “Gemma Arterton Appears in Every Movie” phase seems to have been over for a little while now, so I suppose I’m ready to see her in more things again.
