Gwyneth Paltrow to Co-Star Alongside Antonio Banderas in Picasso Movie ‘Guernica 33 Days’

Aside from a couple minor roles in Contagion and The Avengers, we haven’t seen Gwyneth Paltrow on the movie screen for quite some time. This is about to change as Variety reports that the actress is in talks to co-star alongside Antonio Banderas in the Carlos Saura drama Guernica 33 Days.

The film will depict Pablo Picasso’s (Banderas) emotional turmoil as he painted Guernica, one of his most notorious masterpiece. Paltrow would take on the role of Picasso’s lover Dora Maar, a Spanish-speaking French photographer who snapped some of the pictures that inspired the painting.

Production is set to begin this fall in Guernica and France. Paltrow will next work on Iron Man 3 next month and she can currently be seen in theaters as Pepper Potts in The Avengers.
