Olivia Wilde Joins Spike Jonze’s Untitled Film with Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara & Amy Adams

After a three year hiatus, Spike Jonze is returning to the director’s chair with his Untitled Project which will apparently center on a man who falls in love with the voice of some artificial intelligence device. The director has already signed up Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams and Rooney Mara and it looks like Olivia Wilde is the latest actress to join this impressive cast (via her Twitter).

As previously noted, this seems like a really odd premise but heck, this is Spize Jonze after all and who hasn’t seen these I-Phone commercials with Samuel L. Jackson talking to his phone like it’s his best friend? You would think he has lost his mind.

At any rate, Wilde has kept up a fairly impressive presence on the movie screen over the past year or two but it seems that her career has kind of stalled as she seem stuck in minor love interest roles. Hopefully, her upcoming projects such as Ron Howard’s F-1 racing drama Rush with Chris Hemsworth and the Jim Carrey comedy Burt Wonderstone will change that.

Well, four out of five names exciting me ain’t bad. I’m waiting for Wilde to really wow me with her acting. Sorry, but Tron: Legacy and Cowboys & Aliens just didn’t show me much.
