Jennifer Connelly in Talks for Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’
As Darren Aronofsky gears up to start shooting his biblical epic Noah next month, he continues to assemble one heck of an intriguing cast. We already know that Russell Crowe will take on the title role with Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth and Emma Watson also part of the cast.
Variety now reports that Jennifer Connelly is in talks to reunite with her Requiem for a Dream director. The actress would take on the role of Naamah, Noah’s wife and as you may remember from 2001′s A Beautiful Mind, it wouldn’t be the first time she plays Crowe’s wife. Julianne Moore was also reportedly in the running for the role but it looks like she lost out.
The film will, according to Aronofsky, be a close adaptation of the story of Noah’s Ark. In the book of Genesis, God wants to punish mankind for its wickedness but chooses one man, Noah to build an ark and preserve his creation. When Noah completes the ark and is safe and sound on board along with his family and the world’s animals, God sends the Great Flood that wipes out the rest of humanity.
Noah will hit theaters on March 28, 2014.

Finally, something good for Connelly.
I thought she retired or something lol
Jennifer Connelly being in films is good for us all. So, bully for her! And us.
So you are saying it’s ok to bully? Bully.
Feels like ages since I’ve seen her in a film! Brilliant news.
Indeed.
Well I like the cast and certainly Biblical epics are my forte, but given what I’ve heard about what this director wants to do with this film, I’m trying not to be too excited for it.
What have you heard?
The cast is really coming along for this one. I am curious as to how this one will really shape up though.
It’s Darren Aronofsky. After Black Swan, I’ll give him some street cred.
Just reminds me how much I’d like to try and sit through Req for a Dream again. Such a great film, I hope Aronofsky will one day scale those dizzying heights again.
Nah, I don’t want to see Requiem for a Dream again lol.
Oh hell yeah. I would love to see these two work together again.
Can’t hurt. He did wonder for her career and he could revive hers this time around.
