Watch: Trailer for ‘The Perks Of Being A Wallflower’ with Emma Watson & Logan Lerman

Summit Entertainment launched the trailer for The Perks of Being a Wallflower during the MTV Movie Awards tonight. Stephen Chbosky adaptation of the controversial coming-of-age novel stars Logan Lerman as Charlie, an introverted and unpopular teenager who has to come to terms with the suicide of his best friend, and falling in love for the first time.
The trailer is relatively solid at upselling what the movie is about and it looks like it has potential. But personally, this seems like the wishy-washy, hormone-ridden teenage coming-of-age movie. I haven’t read the book so for those of you who have, let us know what you think of the trailer!
Watch the trailer below (via MTV). The Perks of Being a Wallflower opens on September 14th. The pic also stars Emma Watson, Ezra Miller, Mae Whitman, Nina Dobrev, Paul Rudd and Johnny Simmons.

Yaay! Another film I’ve been waiting for sine the cast got announced. I haven’t read the book either, but my friends who have love it. I may read it this month, hopefully.
I really liked the trailer. I don’t think it’s possible for Watson to lose the British accent, but she looks fine. I think Miller and Lerman will be good too.
Glad you liked it Nikhat. It could be good but I’m not convinced. Let’s hope it is though
Definitely looks a bit generic
Hallmark Channel generic.
Looks decent. Emma Watson looks great and she pulled off the American accent quite well. Don’t like the music, I find it too emo for my taste.
But she says like 5 words in the trailer!
This looks interesting. I’m definitely curious, and I’m interested in picking up the book now.
If you do read the book, I would love to hear your input!
Looks really emo if you ask me. But I guess that’s why it’s going to do well at the box office…
Ahaha yea you nail it. Definitely trying to appeal to the Twilight crowd here.
As far as I know, the book is a contemporary classic, so at least we know the story is good. I like how uplifting the trailer is
Yea I heard good things about the book. It will be interesting to see how they adapt the structure of the book (a bunch of letters) into a coherent narrative.
I’ve seen Logan Lerman in a couple of things and he doesn’t really impress me. Still have to see ‘We Need to Talk About Kevin’ as I’m curious about Ezra Miller. I’ll probably rent this one.
He was half-decent in 3:10 to Yuma.
Looks fun. If nothing else I want to see Miller and Watson perform; they’re both great. We’ll see about Lerman.
