What Are Natalie Portman & Christian Bale Doing in Latest Set Pics from ‘Knight of Cups’?

While we are still waiting for news of Terrence Malick’s next movie To The Wonder, starring Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams, getting a release date, we have the next best thing: Pictures of Bruce Wayne (aka Christian Bale) and Nina Sayers (aka Natalie Portman) goofing around on a beach in what appears to be some pre-production work for the director’s next movie Knight of Cups.

There is still no detail on what the movie will be about although it’s pretty obvious the two will play some ridiculously adorable couple (who would have thought?) and that Cate Blanchett and Isabel Lucas will also star in the film.

This kind of romantic material certainly is a nice change of pace for Bale, who has been playing so many macho roles the past few years. As for Portman, it’s great to see her back in front of the camera after her hiatus. I can’t wait to see what this is all about!

  1. This will be awesome. Plus, I saw more pics at a Natalie fansite and it has Chivo doing the cinematography. Chivo shall not be robbed once again for a Best Cinematography Oscar!

I’m gonna say Christian just verbally assaulted the boom operator and now they’re joking about it.

Awwww… LOVE the smiley faces and Christian doing something remotely romantic for a change!! The last time he worked w/ Malick he’s all gooey and smitten for a girl, so nice to see him not being all brooding and intense. Thanks for posting this adorable pics, Castor.

  4. Jenna says:

They’re so cute together I love Natalie. She kind of reminds me of Parker Posey who has a new movie coming out this month ahhhhhh. It’s called The Love Guide. Anyone else excited for this???!

  5. Chris says:

Not an onscreen couple I was expecting, hopefully will be magic, or whatever the story is attempting to convey!
