Watch: New Trailer and First TV Clip for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

With the movie only ten days away from release and the entire world already giddy with excitement, one could wonder why Warner Bros. continues to release new promotional material. Alas, the marketing budget must be spent at all cost rather than feed starving sub-Saharan children and so I present you with what should be the final trailer, entitled Journey.

The preview retraces Batman’s journey with clips from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight before showing why he has to come once more into the fray with the arrival of Bane (Tom Hardy).

The studio also released the first clip from the movie, featuring Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman) and beat cop John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) having a discussion on the rooftop of the Gotham PD headquarter. The clip premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night so you may already have seen it if you tuned in.

And for good measure, let’s throw in an awesome new IMAX poster featuring Bane. The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20th.

Just re-watched Batman Begins so nice to see some clips in that new trailer. BB is even better than I remembered. Very glad to have caught up. Now will have to make time for another look at Dark Knight!

Hey, The Dark Knight Rises, we already wanna watch you. You gotta stop promoting yourself. It’s coming off as desperate.

  5. Jaskee says:

With this one being 2 hours and 44 minutes long, it better at least as good as The Dark Knight. If it’s better, we’ll be talking about The Dark Knight Rises as being the best comic book movie ever.

I almost don’t want to watch too many more trailers/clips/marketing stuff because I look forward to the element of surprise in the batman films. I’m already REALLY pumped. July 20 can’t get here fast enough!
