First Look at Russell Crowe in Darren Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’
The first official picture from Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah has been released (via USA Today) and it features a Russell Crowe as the biblical character. In the book of Genesis, God wants to punish mankind for its wickedness but chooses one man, Noah to build an ark and preserve his creation. When Noah completes the ark and is safe and sound on board along with his family and the world’s animals, God sends the Great Flood that wipes out the rest of humanity.
Aronofsky has previously stated that the film would be a close adaptation of the biblical story but knowing the Black Swan director, there will be plenty of surprises to please everyone. An impressive cast that includes Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Douglas Booth has been assembled for the movie.
Check out the first official pic below and let us know what you think! Noah opens on March 28, 2014.

All I can say is, there better be a scene where Noah imagines himself going down on himself.
Oh god I now look even more like Russell Crowe!!
I expect the tag line for this film will be “beards galore”. Everyone’s a bit beardy in biblical times.
