Watch: New Trailer for ‘House at the End of the Street’

A new trailer for horror thriller House at the End of the Street has hit the web. The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence plays a young woman (Lawrence) who moves with her mother (Elizabeth Shue) to their dream house in a rural community only to discover that the house next door was the location of a grizzly murder years before. A daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot, My Soul to Take), as the sole survivor.

This looks like a fairly generic, middle-of-the-road horror flick and it’s fairly obvious that the studio is trying to cash in on Lawrence’s sudden explosion in popularity. I doubt it will be more than a potential rental but I guess you never know. Watch the trailer below or click over to Yahoo! for HD. House at the End of the Street opens on September 21st.

Seeking a fresh start, newly divorced Sarah (Oscar®-nominee Elisabeth Shue; Leaving Las Vegas, Piranha 3D) and her daughter Elissa (Oscar®-nominee Jennifer Lawrence; The Hunger Games, X-Men: First Class) find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret. Years earlier, in the house next door, a daughter killed her parents in their beds, and disappeared – leaving only a brother, Ryan (Max Thieriot, My Soul to Take), as the sole survivor. Against Sarah’s wishes, Elissa begins a relationship with the reclusive Ryan – and the closer they get, the deeper they’re all pulled into a mystery more dangerous than they ever imagined.

  1. As long as it doesn’t turn out horrible, my appreciation of Lawrence and Thieriot will compel me to see it anyways.

I think Jennifer Lawrence is the biggest draw for this movie. Nice to see Elizabeth Shue working again, I haven’t seen her for a long time. She’s also in Chasing Mavericks though I didn’t see her in the trailer, ahah.
