Big Batch of New Stills from ‘Trouble with the Curve’ with Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams & Justin Timberlake

Following Clint Eastwood’s apparently senile ramblings with his imaginary friend, Barack Obama at the Republican National Convention, Warner Bros. is trying to steer the public’s attention back to his upcoming film, Trouble with the Curve. The studio released a large number of stills from the movie, which centers on an aging Atlanta Braves scout (Eastwood) who is starting to lose his sight and goes on a last scouting trip with his reluctant daughter (Adams).

It’s quite obvious that the relationship between father and daughter will drive the main narrative thread of the film and this looks to be a pleasant crowd-pleaser when it finally hits theaters on September 21st. Check out the stills below and let us know what you think!

I might rent this because of the Clint + Amy’s collaborations. Still not sold on Timberlake but so long as he’s not carrying the movie I guess he should be fine.

Like Ruth, I can’t stand Timberlake…another bad move by Eastwood…a bit like that empty chair.

I’m at the point where I’m done with Eastwood. I can separate the artist from the man– and I really dislike the man– but when the artist’s art is consistently boring and terrible, I don’t really see the crime in conflating one with the other. Basically, screw this movie. Seems like a big old Moneyball cash-in anyhow, but I’m sure it’s going to get a ton of Eastwood goodwill love from awards shows this year.

Really? Why do you dislike Clint, just curious? :)

You mentioned it in the first paragraph of this article. That display infuriated me. I can absorb art created by detestable people– like David Mamet, who thinks all of Israel’s critics are anti-Semites based on Torah portions he grossly misinterprets, and like H.P. Lovecraft, who was basically a Hitler cheerleader– but there’s a line, and the RNC thing crossed it.

And besides that, the guy doesn’t make interesting movies anymore. Nor do his politics reflect anything more interesting in his cinema than “get off my lawn” nonsense.

Anyways. I’ll always love the Man With No Name films and the Dirty Harry films!
