Watch: First Trailer for ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’

Twentieth Century Fox has debuted the first trailer for the fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard. Bruce Willis returns once again as John McClane and he is this time flanked by his estranged son (Jai Courtney) to take on some evil terrorists in Moscow.

This 69-second teaser is only a series of quick glimpse at… what else but the dozens of explosions, firefights and elaborate stunts that the protagonists will undertake during the movie. The fact that this John Moore-directed movie lands in February (ie. cinematic wasteland) and is PG-13 doesn’t exactly inspire confidence but hey, Bruce Willis was in two of the best movies of 2012, right? (Looper and Moonrise Kingdom, punk)

    The shot of the probably bad guy with the carrot stick had me giggling.

    Looks like a typical action film. Not sure what else to take away from this one.

  2. Brittani says:

    How many estranged kids does John McClaine have? lol

    I’ll still see it, Bruce Willis is awesome.

  3. Ted S. says:

    I’m a Die Hard/action films junkie so of course I’ll see it even though it might suck like the last one. Has it been confirmed that the film will be rated PG-13? The 4th film was heavily and awfully edited down to get that rating.

    Yiippikayee John McClane! I’m a big fan of Die Hard but I hope this’ll be better than Die Hard 4!

  5. I don’t know. The chick in her underwear was nice but… it’s not Die Hard. John McClane is supposed to be a regular guy. Not a Bond-like character.

  6. Dave Enkosky says:

    As rad as that was, it doesn’t change my opinion that senior citizens shouldn’t be allowed to fight crime.

    Hard Die Hard movie, that comes out in February. Not summer, but in the midst of winter. I believe it shows where the studio’s confidence in this installment is. I’m just sayin’.

    1 = Amazing
    2 = Pretty dire
    3 = Amazing
    4 = Pretty dire
    5 =… well, look at the pattern! :D
