Christoph Waltz to Play an Interpol Agent in ‘The Muppets’ Sequel
After shocking the entertainment world by acquiring LucasFilm yesterday, Disney is looking to pursue its covert strategy to take over the universe by making a sequel to The Muppets. THR reports that the studio is in talks with Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) to take one of the few human roles in the movie.
Few details are known at this point but word is that Waltz would take on the part of an Interpol agent. The film will apparently take place in Europe with actors being sought for the role of a Russian femme fatale and a male character whose intention remain ambiguous throughout the movie.
Director James Bobin and co-writer Nicholas Stoller are back to write the script. We do know that Jason Segel will not return in the sequel in any capacity though. At any rate, it’s always a pleasure to see the multi-talented Waltz in yet another movie. He is currently shooting Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem and will next be seen in Quentin Tarantino’s spaghetti western Django Unchained.
What do you think?

Christoph Waltz in a Muppet movie. Sold!
Oh hell yeah.
It’s going to be hard to break free from Waltz’s affiliation with Tarantino and picture him with the Muppets… which is a good thing, actually. Watching the Muppets expecting something Tarantinoesque pretty much blows my mind.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! Okay, that’s just awesome. Or, more accurately, that’s a bingo.
