For me it’s the voice – I am sure some (loads of) research have gone into this but it throws me off a little. I guess I never thought much of how Pres. Lincoln’s voice was.

I was concerned the voice wouldn’t be portrayed as such. That is how it is described by the books. So I was pleased to find that Day-Lewis captured it that way.

Daniel Day Lewis has the talent to propel this to the forefront of Spielberg films. I’ve got high hopes for it.

  6. Andrew says:

I’m still worried about this being far too reverential to be really taken seriously as a biopic, but I can’t say no to DDL.

  7. Kevyn Knox says:

I have always preferred my Spielberg to be of the so-called popcorn variety (Jaws, Raiders, Jurassic) and have more oft than not been disappointed in the more serious films (Schindler, Color Purple, War Horse) but dammit, Daniel Day-Lewis makes everything better, so count me in.

I am so excited for this film. And I was pleased to get this trailer since the old one was starting to get…well…old. I hope it lives up to my expectations!
