Must Watch: Spectacular New Trailer for ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’
Paramount has debuted a new trailer for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness and it forebodes well for what’s to come next summer. Chris Pine returns as Captain Kirk, head honcho of the USS Enterprise. The world is in a state of chaos after the Fleet was wiped out by a mysterious enemy. Kirk and his crew lead a manhunt to capture “a one man weapon of mass destruction”.
While the first movie was surprisingly witty and lighthearted, this preview sis full of gloom and doom, seemingly pointing to a darker, more serious sequel with greater things at stake. This teaser doesn’t really tell us much but we do a few glimpse of the spectacular action set pieces Abrams has in store for us.

Into Darkness is fast becoming one of my most anticipated blockbuster films of next year. Looks epic.
Yea I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first one but this looks like a step up

I’m so excited for this, it’s not funny. I lurve the first one, and this one has Benedict Cumberbatch too. Can’t. Bloody. Wait.
But is he the bad guy or what? It doesn’t seem clear…
This does look cool. I just hope there’s some good banter between Captain Kirk and Spock.

Good lord I want this movie to go away.
What? Why?
Lots of reasons. I’m sick to death of movies teasing their teasers with teasers; I can’t stand Abrams’ secrecy over inconsequential plot details; the title’s terrible. More than anything I know that if I get excited about it now, I’ll end up feeling shortchanged by it in May. I had no expectations for the last Trek film and it won me over handily. So this isn’t just me finding things to dislike about the hype machine (though there are things I legitimately dislike here), it’s also me making sure I approach this movie the same way I approached the last one.
