Must Watch: First Trailer for the Coen Brothers’ ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’
Sony has debuted the first trailer for the Coen Brothers’ upcoming film, Inside Llewyn Davis. Loosely based on the life of folk musician Dave van Ronk, the movie stars Oscar Isaac (Drive) as a young musician struggling to make a name for himself on the 1960s New York City folk music scene.
It’s great to see Isaac finally get a chance to showcase what he can do in a leading role after a flurry of strong supporting performances. But it looks like Carey Mulligan will be the one to turn heads, playing a bitter and foul-mouthed character that isn’t her typical cup of tea.
Watch the trailer below (via Thompson on Hollywood) and let us know what you think! No release date yet but we wouldn’t expect to see this out in theater until next fall.

Is this the prequel to Drive?
All Standard wanted was to be the folk musician known as Llewyn Davis but after falling on hard times, he had to turn to the criminal underworld…
Haha…could be!
Coen Brothers FTW!!!!!!
I trust the Coens to not go the typical musician biopic formula with this
I see a veiled dig at Crazy Heart in your comment!
This sounds very intriguing indeed! I’m quite fond of Mr. Oscar Isaac as well
