The 13th of August marked the birthday of one of the most celebrated and enjoyed directors of all time, Alfred Hitchcock. Known as the master of the thriller, and one of the original auteurs, his filmography reads as a ‘whats what’ of cinema between the 1930s and 1960s. Whether it was his signature long shots, cameos, or innovative filmmaking, Hitchcock kept audiences gripped to the screens, and is still as hard hitting today as he was in his prime.
