It’s not the movie that the trailers promised it would be. And while the efforts to do so almost derail the film completely, it’s saved by a couple veteran actors that manage to turn Admission into an enjoyable film.

Sam Raimi has taken us back to the land of Oz in what was promising to be a visual feast that explored the characters that welcomed Dorothy to the enchanted land. Sadly, his latest film ends up being very dull and leaving one wanting to move on sooner rather than later.
For this week on DVD, we’ve got a young man named Pi trapped at sea with a tiger, Mary Elizabeth Winstead trying to become sober, Jack Frost teaming up with Santa and the Easter Bunny to save the world, and Scarlett Johansson driving Anthony Hopkins psycho.
