Paranormal Activity 3 fails on a fundamental level to provide any substance, any originality, or any scares that manage to eclipse the terror of previous two films and add a new level of horror to the already spine-chilling series.

DVD Review: ‘Another Earth’ Is Science Fiction at Its Best
Have you ever wondered about an alternate reality? About how things would have turned out if you had done something different along the way. Would you suffer the same fate, the same misfortune? In the haunting Sundance hit Another Earth, these questions are pondered, in wondering but also terrifying ways.
“We Bought A Zoo” Is An Uninspired Mess
We Bought Zoo has no ambition or vision whatsoever and seems strangely lacking in heart and sincerity. It would be wrong to call this muddled pile of holiday release jello a debacle because it’s so indifferent.
Review: ‘War Horse’ is Unabashedly Sentimental
War Horse is everything you expect it to be: overly sentimental, riddled with caricatures, and thoroughly heartwarming. Incidentally, I’m not quite sure Spielberg was striving for much more. Read my review after the jump!
‘The Big Year’ Is Overly Safe, The Epitome Of Mediocrity
Director David Frankel (Marley and Me) takes an interesting and obscure premise, but unfortunately does nothing with it. Instead he creates a ‘safe bet,’ a film which is guaranteed to entertain during the brief moments which do contain some semblance of excitement and humor, whilst also refraining from being offensive in any manner whatsoever.
DVD Review: ‘Three Kings’ (1999)
Most war films end with the proposition that those most eager to start a war are the most unfit to fight it. Three Kings begins with that proposition. There is never any doubt that its protagonists are pragmatic, incompetent fuckheads, who have to be pushed to the extreme to do even the slightest bit of good. It’s what happens when they do that makes this film so interesting.
“Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” Is Suitably Entertaining
The fourth feature in the series that began back in 1996, pays just as much – if not more – devotion to detail for its suspenseful set pieces than to the precise particulars of its plot. And this is a very, very good thing. Read Nick’s review!
Doubleheader Reviews: ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’
Are you looking for a feel good movie to put you in the holiday spirit? Then run. Fast. Away, as far as possible. However, if you’re looking for a stylistic and daunting thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat, you are in the right place. Red and Sam review The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Doubleheader Reviews: ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ is Breathlessly Entertaining
What a delight The Adventures of Tintin is. Directed by master craftsman Steven Spielberg this exciting and jubilant roller-coaster ride of a film is a well-welcomed surprise, guaranteed to please audiences of all ages. Read Sam’s and Jordan’s reviews of the movie.
DVD Review: ‘Warrior’ is Physically and Emotionally Hard-Hitting
Warrior is a gritty, emotionally rich family drama and sporting story, which focuses on two estranged brothers who compete in an elite MMA tournament. Featuring excellent performances from Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte, this hard hitting film wastes not a minute and weaves an intricate tale of redemption and courage.
