Round 1

"In the midst of such a depressing period for mainstream movies (let’s face it, finding a great, well-rounded Hollywood movie these days is like finding something healthy on the McDonald’s value menu), Paul Thomas Anderson is a writer/director that can take average-sized budgets and turn them into brilliantly crafted films. He knows the art of the business and makes some of the most artful, beautiful, and carefully written movies in the industry with consistently incredible acting performances. His rare skills have produced the likes of Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, and There Will Be Blood. If I’m a movie studio, I want a director that I know can use reasonable budgets and still create mind-blowing masterpieces that critics and audiences all over will enjoy. Paul Thomas Anderson is one of the few that can rightfully be trusted with such a responsibility."

Round 2

"For my 2nd round pick, I’m choosing an actor who never fails to bring out the big guns in his performances. As a man who enjoys taking risks and has played many different types of roles, Edward Norton is someone who can be relied on to perform and get people in the seats of a theater. Delivering some of the best acting in recent film history, Norton is especially known for his incredible performances in Fight Club, Rounders, American History X, Primal Fear, the Illusionist, and more (we all know you were sold as soon as I mentioned Fight Club). He can steal the show in any scene and he’s one for the ages."

Round 3

"For my 3rd round pick, I’m picking someone who already has some good experience with both Paul Thomas Anderson and Edward Norton.. the Hoff. No, not David Hasselhoff. The REAL Hoff… Philip Seymour Hoffman– one of the most versatile and consistently powerful actors of the generation. His incredible career includes stunning performances in “Boogie Nights”, “The Big Lebowski”, “Magnolia”, “Punch-Drunk Love”, “25th Hour”, “Capote”, “Syndecdoche, New York”, “Doubt” and many others. His artistic touch on any film is enough to set off all kinds of Oscar signals like an indoor bonfire sets off a smoke alarm. "

Round 4

"In the interest of securing my first actress, I’m taking Vera Farmiga now. An actress who has really only recently made her way into the industry, she’s someone who I believe has a ton of talent and a lot of potential. She was fantastic in Running Scared and The Departed and she has also recently received a lot of acclaim for her role in Up in the Air."

Round 5

"Aaron Eckhart. I'll explain why later. I'm much too lazy and tired to write up the explanation just yet lol"

Round 5

"For my final pick for a few rounds, I'm choosing someone who I believe is one of the most underrated actors out there right now. I loved his performances in "Alpha Dog", "3:10 to Yuma", and especially in "The Messenger". Ben Foster has an incredible way of showcasing dark emotions and his character in The Messenger particularly felt like one of the most realistically troubled characters I've seen in a while."
