The common adage of movie thrillers is that no one is quite what they seem. Well, no one in Steven Soderbergh’s (potential) final film, Side Effects, is quite what they seem. Except that expertly using the genre to his advantage, Soderbergh’s whole point is that no one is quite what they seem.

In his quest to take over the world, Channing Tatum has decided to do a movie about male strippers. At least, that’s what it appears to be about from the outside looking in. Once the movie begins, you realize that there’s more to it than meets the eye.
Warner Bros. has debuted the first trailer for director Steven Soderbergh’s stripper flick Magic Mike. Loosely inspired from Channing Tatum’s early days as a male stripper, the film revolves around “Magic Mike” (Tatum), an experienced male stripper who takes a young dancer (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing.
Directors Andy and Lana Wachowski are probably most known for spawning The Matrix franchise and now that they have wrapped up the highly intriguing adaptation of Cloud Atlas, they may be looking to return to their science fiction roots with Jupiter Ascending. Deadline reports that Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis have been offered the lead roles in the upcoming Warner Bros. project.
Perhaps 21 Jump Street lives and thrives on the virtue of vacuous anticipation but for what it amounts to, it’s an uproariously funny and charming action-comedy. The unlikely pairing of Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum makes for a truly likable and effective comedic duo.

If there is something that keeps Steven Soderbergh awake at night, it might just be the notion of being pigeon-holed. With a resume that is as peculiar as it is diverse, the director is bringing the dramatic comedy Magic Mike to theaters (June 29), a film supposedly based on Tatum’s real life experience as a young male stripper.
Wow the first trailer for Jon Chu’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been released and it actually looks kind of awesome! Most of the original cast is gone and for a good reason, the trailer starts with the G.I. Joe team getting slaughtered except for a few survivors that include Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, and Adrianne Palicki.
