It’s been years since the last time we’ve seen the two heroes of the stoner comedy A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas. While the movie sparks of adulthood and the re-establishment of a precarious friendship, it’s still difficult to relate to its esoteric tone and humor.

Movie Review: The Thin Red Line (1998)
Marking the return of Terrence Malick after a 20-yr absence, The Thin Red Line is the “other” World War II movie of 1998, overshadowed by Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan but nonetheless nominated for 7 Oscars among which Best Picture and Best Director.
Movie Review: Shutter Island (2010)
Directed by Martin Scorsese, Shutter Island is a psychological thriller based on Dennis Lehane novel of the same name. Despite its relatively commonplace premise of reality vs. illusion inside a mental institution, this is a beautifully crafted film with multiple layers of depth that don’t become apparent until the final twist which we all know is coming. The fun is in trying to figure out what the final twist is and witnessing how the characters get there.
