Something Borrowed is one of the most contrived, unfunny, and unrealistic endeavors to be produced in quite some time. Here’s a film that doesn’t offer a lick of genuine sentiment, or for that matter a believable relationship. But in 2011 that’s nothing new.

Guest Review: A Single Man (2009)
There have been a few films in my life that have struck a chord in my heart. It’s as if the film is a secret that I hold close and dear, and I only want to share it with a select few. All That Jazz and American Beauty have been films that I have felt this for, and then I saw Tom Ford’s A Single Man starring Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Nicholas Hoult and Matthew Goode.
Great Movie: Walk the Line (2005)
Walk the Line is one of those movies, when you come out of the movie theater and tell yourself “Decent movie but great acting performances.” The movie is a Johnny Cash biopic that came out back in the fall of 2005. What makes this movie a little different is that it’s not only a timeline and description of what happened in Johnny’s life. Those are actually a sidenote in this movie, the real story is the love interest between Cash (Joaquin Phoenix) and June Carter (Reese Witherspoon).
