The first trailer for My Week With Marilyn has just arrived, ahead of the film’s premiere at the New York Film Festival on October 9th. Michelle Williams will star as Marilyn Monroe in a film that will be set during the filming of 1957′s The Prince and the Showgirl.

Meek’s Cutoff a Picturesque, Slow-Burning Work of Minimalism
Meek’s Cutoff, a frontier western directed by Kelly Reichhardt (Wendy and Lucy), first played in competition at the 67th Venice International Film Festival and has hit cinemas in 2011. It is a slow-burning, minimalist piece starring Michelle Williams and is based on a historical incident on the Oregon Trail in 1845, in which frontier guide Stephen Meek led a wagon train on an ill-fated journey through the Oregon desert, charting the route known as the Meek Cutoff.
