Out in DVD/Blu-Ray today, Dream House is a mixture of mystery, drama and thriller which is more sinister than the title would initially have you believe. Overall I think this film had an interesting premise but the ending got too complicated in itself and was somewhat disappointing.

It is less than two weeks until Christmas Day (or not, if you don’t celebrate the day/holiday) and exactly fifteen days until the final day of the Gregorian calendar, and as you can imagine, film news is somewhat thin on the ground around this period, but I’ve tried my best to bring you the little nuggets of information that I think you’ll enjoy.
“J. Edgar” is a Clumsy and Aimless Snoozefest
It’s a shame, really, that a man as fascinating as J. Edgar Hoover is reduced to a prolonged, cinematic snooze. Clint Eastwood merely plays hopscotch with his life, aimlessly bouncing around from topic to topic, and along the way forgetting the purpose of his film.
Naomi Watts, Matt Dillon to Star in “Sunlight Jr.”
The downer of a story will revolve around two “have-nots” who are struggling to make ends meet, convenience store clerk Melissa (Watts) and her paraplegic boyfriend, Richie (Dillon). Trapped by poverty and ignorance, the two get a reprieve from the harshness of life when Melissa gets pregnant.

How often are you faced with the uncomfortable conclusion after seeing an “acclaimed” film that you simply just don’t get it? While I personally can’t think of many examples during this stellar film year of 2010, it happens all-too-often that moviegoers are left thinking “What did I not get?”
