In her short career, Emma Stone has appeared in movies such as Superbad and Zombieland as the main character’s girlfriend. Easy A, however, is her first vehicle and she confidently turns in a star-making performance in this witty and charming high school satire.

Movie Review: Shutter Island (2010)
Directed by Martin Scorsese, Shutter Island is a psychological thriller based on Dennis Lehane novel of the same name. Despite its relatively commonplace premise of reality vs. illusion inside a mental institution, this is a beautifully crafted film with multiple layers of depth that don’t become apparent until the final twist which we all know is coming. The fun is in trying to figure out what the final twist is and witnessing how the characters get there.
Movie Review: All the Real Girls (2003)
Directed by David Gordon Green, All the Real Girls is a slice of life romantic drama with a noble goal in mind: Portraying a more realistic, cliche-free and unglamorous love story. Set in a small North Carolina mill town, the film depicts the highs and lows of a relationship between Paul (Paul Schneider) and Noel (Zooey Deschanel). Paul is a womanizing young man with a reputation for having sex with 26 different girls in town.
Movie Review: Lars and The Real Girl (2007)
Every now and then, you come across a movie that turns out to be a gem and it feels so good to be able to enjoy such a movie among the overwhelming numbers of mediocre to average movies that are forgotten as soon as they are over. Lars and The Real Girl, directed by Craig Gillespie, is one of those movies that you expect very little off and end up being blown away.

Married Life directed by Ira Sachs, is a dark and witty comedy of manners with a big dash of psychological thriller. Set in 1949, the plot is about Harry Allen (the formidable Chris Cooper), an apparently successful businessman. See, Harry seems to have it all, successful career, nice house, sex-driven wife (sublime Patricia Clarkson), he is living THE life! Except poor Harry longs for true love and that is missing. In comes Kay Nesbitt (lovely Rachel McAdams), a young war widow with whom Harry has an affair.
