The next big release for UK and European audiences is Ridley Scott’s Prometheus which is due to hit cinemas on the 1st June and after the recent international trailer premiere which aired exclusively on Channel 4, who isn’t anticipating its release?

Ridley Scott’s next project, The Counselor, is getting a boost as Deadline reports that the director will reunite with his Prometheus star Michael Fassbender in the movie, which has been described as “No Country for Old Men on steroids.”

Looking forward to director Ridley Scott’s sci-fi flick Prometheus? Well you might want to check out this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly which features a batch of intriguing new images. The film, long rumored to be a prequel to Scott’s 1979 classic Alien, will center around a team of explorers who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
Every fortnight I collect, evaluate and release all the film-tastic news that may or may not have made your radar due to it being UK/European specific. Some of it you may read, the majority of it however will probably leave you scratching feverishly at your skull wondering “Who is this? And why am I reading this balderdash!”
Ridley Scott has added another projects to the gazillions he is already attached to. Deadline reports that the 74-year-old director is attached to direct and produce a fact-based untitled thriller. Gerard Butler would star as Simon Mann, a former British Army officer who put together a group of mercenaries to attempt a coup d’etat against the government of Equatorial Guinea in 2004.
It seems Ridley Scott is looking back to his earlier work with a lot of nostalgia. He is currently working on the upcoming sci-fi movie Prometheus, a prequel of sort to his classic Alien. Now, Scott has signed up to helm and produce a new installment of his 1982 classic Blade Runner.
