Magnolia has debuted the first trailer for Terrence Malick‘s new film, To The Wonder and it’s about as Malick-y as you could expect. Lots of pretty landscape, lots of twirling around in the wind and serious stares into the distance. Watch after the jump!
While beautifully shot, and one would expect no less from a Terrence Malick film, it is hard not to feel rather disappointed with To the Wonder. For a film that wants to explore how hate and fear can stem from a place of love, Malick’s film ultimately gets lost in its own kaleidoscope of thoughts.

Deadline reports that Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman has committed to both movies, her first two post-Oscar roles since her acclaimed performance in 2010′s Black Swan.
