Yesterday, Lionsgate announced their acquisition of Summit Entertainment for a combination of cash and stock valued at $412.5 million and the move didn’t seem that wise from a shareholder’s point of view. Is there something terribly ominous behind this move?

As it stands, Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is a thankless cinematic experience. It misses a story worth telling and characters worth watching. Nothing’s worse than spending two hours in a house with dull people doing things you just don’t care about.

It is no secret that the critic-proof franchise has been wildly successful in spite of widespread disdain from critics and non-Twi-hards. Indeed, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will fail to convert any outsider into a new fan of the series.

As we swap our sweaters for sun block and make room for dads, grads and pool parties, we can’t forget about the summer blockbusters that try their best to lure us away from the great outdoors with bells, whistles and beautiful people.
Having seen the first Twilight movie, I knew what I was getting myself into. I expected to laugh… a lot and I did. Unless you really are into Twilight, you will most likely experience uncontrollable burst of laughing and giggling. It will make you cringe so much that laughing will be your only release aside from running into a knife.
